SilaPrint 125 – The perfect 3D printer for the laboratory

SilaPrint 125
Within a short time (approx. 1 h) you can produce up to 3 occlusal splints, drilling templates, crowns & bridges and partial denture frameworks as well.

Otoflash G171
– Flash-curing device for light-curing resins

The device can be used for the photo-polymerisation of all light-curable materials where the curing takes place at a wavelength of 280-580 nm. Ideal for end curing of 3D printed dental resins.

With its technical configuration, the Otoflash G171 enables short curing times. Compared to other methods this achieves a substantially better curing of the 3D printed materials, resulting in very good physical characteristics and reduced residual monomer content (inhibition layer).

Technical data:

  • Dimensions of polymerisation chamber: 120 x 120 x 50 mm
  • Bowls for polymerization material with UVB blocker
  • Power input: 250 watt
  • Number of light sources: 2 flashbulbs à 100 W
  • Flash frequency: 10 flashes per second
  • delivered with a protective gas appliance for N2
  • Digital timer: adjustable from 1 to 9.999 flashes
  • Dimensions: 310 x 310 x 140 mm

The introduction set:

  • 1 x SilaPrint 125
  • 1 x Otoflash G171

SILADENT adds Ceramill Sintron® discs from Amann Girrbach to portfolio of CAD/CAM dental materials

The progressive dental products company SILADENT Dr. Böhme & Schöps GmbH, enhances its CAD/CAM portfolio with a high-quality sinter metal from Amann Girrbach to offer the growing users of desktop milling machines (e.G. Roland or vhf systems) an optimized milling solution for CoCr.

This non-precious metal revolutionises the manufacturing process, as the wax-like texture of the Ceramill Sintron blanks (CoCr blanks) allows them to be effortlessly dry milled on in-house benchtop machines. The labour-intensive and error-prone casting procedure and therefore time-consuming manual working stages are no longer required.
The sinter process is also extremely easy: the press of a button is sufficient for a great result with excellent structure quality. Maximum process reliability produces homogeneous, distortion-free frameworks without contraction cavities. Using the new Ceramill Sintron it is possible to achieve predictable, reproducible fit and framework qualities. Ceramill Sintron can be veneered using any CoCr framework porcelain.

Indications:

  • Telescope and conical crowns
  • Bars and attachments
  • Custom abutments on titanium bases
  • Multi-unit, screw-retained restorations on titanium bases
  • Anatomically reduced and fully anatomical crown and bridge frameworks in the anterior and posterior region

SILADENT adds PEEK polymer-based JUVORA™ Dental Disc to portfolio of CAD/CAM dental materials

The progressive dental products company SILADENT Dr. Böhme & Schöps GmbH, enhances its CAD/CAM portfolio with a high-quality PEEK1) polymer-based solution. To make a reliable non-metallic option available to its customers, Germany based SILADENT has chosen to collaborate with the market-leading supplier JUVORA. The company´s JUVORATM Dental Disc is made entirely of a medical-grade PEEK with over 15 years of clinical heritage. The new solution is suitable for the digital manufacture of fixed and removable prosthetics, such as implant-supported superstructures, fixed and removable restorations and also crowns and bridges, including secondary and telescopic crowns.

“The wide range of indications for this excellent material continues to surprise and win over increasing numbers of users,” said Markus Rehse, Managing Director at SILADENT.”The CAD/CAM market in Europe is growing very quickly, and we fully expect the share of the medical-grade PEEK polymer to steadily increase.” According to the Millenium Research Group the global dental CAD/CAM market will see accelerating market growth, reaching a value surpassing $760 million in 2022.2)

SILADENTphilosophy is to offer their customers technical advantage, through product specialists and distinctive quality products. The prospects for the new high-quality solutions are looking good. This high performance polymer alternative to metal is extremely resistant to wear, abrasion and corrosion. Its bone-like modulus of elasticity also ensures that it remains very strong and flexible.“As our CAD/CAM portfolio of premium milling consumables has been lacking a high-performance PEEK up until now, we consciously decided on JUVORA, where the base polymer has over 15 years of proven successful experience in orthopaedics with over five million implants globally,” explained Rehse.

Greater comfort for patients

This excellent combination of characteristics also makes the alternative dental prosthesis a hit with patients: In mouth comfort 99% of patients rate JUVORA prosthetics as “good” or “very good”, and the overall chewing feeling is rated by 95% of patients in those top categories.3) In addition, the high performance polymer provides significantly more shock absorption than metals (26 times that of titanium), and this may help to address the effects of bruxism/parafunctions. The German Dental Association estimates up to 10% of men and up to 15% of women in Germany are affected by these conditions, especially in the age group between 35 and 45 years.

Specially developed for CAD/CAM technology, the JUVORA Dental Disc is now sold exclusively through dealers and is based on the very pure, biocompatible PEEK-OPTIMA® polymer from Invibio® Biomaterial Solutions.
